Visit of the church and its Virgin of Mercy
The church is a Romanesque building that underwent architectural alterations at the end of the Gothic period and in the modern era. In the 15th century, Laval was divided between two Dauphiné families, the Commiers and the Allemans. Three seigneurial chapels intended as burial places for the founding families were established in the church. The Alleman chapel is built on the north side of the church. It is decorated with a fresco on the theme of the Virgin of Mercy, or Virgin of the Mantle, which adorns the upper part of the north wall.
