The Saint Philibert church in Saint-Ismier, probably dating from the 12th century. The church was enlarged in the 17th century and refurbished in the 20th century.
The Saint Philibert church stands in the Grésivaudan valley, in the town of Saint-Ismier. The original building, probably from the 12th century, is entered through a Romanesque portal listed as a historic monument. The church was enlarged in the 17th century. It was during the 20th century that the layout and decoration of the Saint Ismier church were changed: the stained-glass windows by ARCABAS, the tabernacle and the terracotta Stations of the Cross by A Tiessé, and the organ built by Michel Giroux.
Two kinds of event will be offered each afternoon on 17 and 18 September:
- guided tours to discover the architecture, the stained-glass windows and the Stations of the Cross
- musical performances to discover the organ
