The Grésivaudan jazz festival, JAZZ à BARRAUX, returns to Fort Barraux for its 5th edition, from 23 to 28 May 2022, with great evening concerts and free daytime concerts.
Nationally and internationally renowned artists and emerging bands from the regional scene, chosen for their original repertoire.
On the bill this year: Franck Tortiller, Laurent Dehors, Sarah Murcia, EYM trio + Varijashree Venugopal, François Raulin, Alexis Moutzouris, Hirsute, Alfred Spirli, ALT …
A show for young audiences (from age 5) is on offer this year with "Chut Libre !", on Tuesday 24 May at 2:30pm. Open to schools and families.

A funny and touching show combining video and live music, in which the audience takes part through soundpainting games. The 4 musicians let themselves be guided by Scat, a plasticine character animated in stop-motion.

True globetrotters, the members of EYM Trio play with elements of musical language from the four corners of the world. Through their encounter with the great Indian singer and flautist Varijashree Venugopal, the trio's compositions surprisingly incorporate the colours of Indian classical music.

Compositions that are both effective and refined, championing a resolutely contemporary jazz. After several years of study, concerts and all sorts of other musical explorations in Isère, Paris, Montreal and Switzerland, Alix created the ALT project with the idea of developing a specific repertoire, sound and interplay. It is with this energy that the trio releases its second album on the Jazz Family label next May!

Music that gallops from free jazz to funk, from rock to electric excursions. The trio's energy takes hold straight away. With his six reeds, the accomplished multi-instrumentalist Laurent Dehors trades lines with Franck Vaillant, an instinctive drummer with a very rock energy. The seven-string guitar is played masterfully by Gabriel Gosse.
9pm - Franck TORTILLER Orchestra - "Back to Heaven"
With this large, inventive ensemble, Franck Tortiller pays tribute to the world of Led Zeppelin and immerses us in a sound serving free music without prejudice, carried by an irresistible drive.
