Gardens and Château du Touvet - The Château du Touvet owes its fame to its exceptional gardens, laid out in the 18th century. Let yourself be surprised by the spectacle of the rushing water in the Italian-style water staircase and by the beauty of the terraced gardens.
Laid out in 1750, the gardens of Le Touvet and their remarkable Italian-style water staircase draw visitors into a precious, unspoilt world.
This water staircase is a masterpiece of garden architecture, unique in France.

In the municipality of Barraux:
Fort-Barraux is one of the oldest and most prestigious defensive strongholds in the Alps. A bastioned fortification built in the 16th century and later remodelled, notably by Vauban in the 18th century.
Fort Barraux was revised and improved over the centuries, especially during a major campaign of works ordered by Vauban (the famous military engineer of Louis XIV) in 1692 and 1700.
