Exhibition by Jacqueline Helmryd at the municipal library
From Monday 02 to Monday 30 May 2022
Every day except Monday, Thursday, Sunday
Venue: Municipal Library
Every month, the municipal library becomes an art gallery. In May, Jacqueline Helmryd, a multi-talented artist from La Terrasse, will exhibit her creations.
Engraver, painter and watercolourist, this lover of the arts in general
gradually discovered a vocation for restoring old
paintings, an activity that led her to restore three paintings in the church of La
Terrasse a few years ago.
Married to a Swede who, like her, was an English teacher, this Frenchwoman
whose family comes from La Terrasse spent her life between France
and Sweden, where she was a seconded teacher at the French lycée. In 2000,
Jacqueline Helmryd and her husband settled permanently in La Terrasse.
Still active at 96, Jacqueline Helmryd is involved in the association "les amis du Grésivaudan", which is dedicated to preserving local heritage.
