The GAGE association (Groupe des Aphasiques de Grenoble et de ses Environs) offers creative workshops for people with aphasia who have lost the ability to speak following a stroke.
As well as helping them break out of their isolation, this allows them to build a new plan for their lives.

The paintings were made in the "visual arts" workshop using a variety of techniques. They were created by artists with right-sided hemiplegia. Before their stroke, these people were right-handed, and the
paralysis of their right side forced them to retrain themselves to paint with their left hand.

For them, painting is a means of communication that allows them to express their joy, their feelings or their distress once again after such an upheaval.

Their life "after" can no longer be like their life "before", and they must build a whole new world.
From 09/03 to 02/04/2021.
Closed on Sundays.
